Valentine’s Prom at the 5 Spot,
a Benefit for Tennessee Teens Rock Camp (TNTRC)

(Nashville): On Friday February 17th, Tennessee Teens Rock Camp (TNTRC) will host a benefit Prom at the 5 Spot in East Nashville featuring live music from the Kansas Bible Company, Jason Elkridge, and Jason Thomas, followed by DJ sets from Matt Smith and Chris Doubler. Tickets cost $7 at the door, but attendees who come dressed in prom-wear get a discounted price of $4.

Doors open at 9 and music begins at 9:30.

There will be a Valentine’s photo both, courtesy of Steve Cross, and at the end of the night, a prom king and queen will be nominated and crowned by the audience. Winners will receive prizes from local Nashville businesses.

All proceeds go to benefit the Tennessee Teens Rock Camp Scholarship Fund, a charitable, need-based program committed to securing camp admission for every child who wishes to experience Rock Camp, regardless of financial ability or economic status.

The Tennessee Teens Rock Camp is a weeklong day camp that focuses on empowering teens through music. The day camp features instrument instruction in guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and keyboards, as well as workshops in songwriting, recording, DIY arts & crafts, screen-printing, zine making, photography, music history, and hip hop performance and theory. TNTRC’s mission is to support a culture of positive self-esteem and collaboration among young people while building community through music. TNTRC is a program of Youth Empowerment through Arts & Humanities, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based out of Murfreesboro, TN.
