 Adopt a Camper
SGRRC & TNTRC are committed to providing an unlimited number of need-based scholarships to all campers of limited financial means. We have never had to turn a camper away, and we don’t plan on breaking that record this year.
Last year YEAH was able to raise all the necessary scholarship dollars for all of our Summer Camps, and we did so solely through the individual donations of people like you.
We ask that you consider donating to YEAH this year and sending one very lucky child to camp. Adopt a Camper for full tuition at $300 or half tuition at $150 and you will make a lasting impression on the life of one young person by giving them the gift of music.
Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent of the law and you will be listed as a Rock Camp Sponsor on our website and camp programs.
YEAH’s mission through our Summer Rock Camp Series is to open the world of music to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity. Last summer over 30% of campers received either a half or full scholarship, and as we are offering multiple camps during the Summer of 2011, such as the Southern Girls Rock and Roll Camp, the Tennessee Teens Rock Camp (a co-ed camp in Nashville) and the New York City Rock Camp in Brooklyn and Staten Island, we will have a greater need of scholarship dollars.
A donation in any amount would be appreciated but your $300 donation will make sure one deserving camper has a rockin’ good time and enjoys the empowering, community building experience that is at the heart of YEAH. In return for your generous donation you will be listed as a Rock Camp donor on our Showcase Program and you will receive a personalized progress report about you sponsored camper. If you have a specific camper in mind that you know would enjoy the Rock Camp experience please contact us directly to make those special arrangements.
YEAH is committed to keeping tuition low as we strongly believe that music should be open to all children, regardless of finances. For only $300 campers receive instrument instruction, participate in workshops such as music photography, recording, and songwriting, and form their own bands in which they spend the week crafting a song to perform at the annual Saturday Night Showcase. Campers are also provided with all necessary equipment, lunch, and a camp T-shirt.
